The ANA recently released a position statement regarding the purpose and role of DEI in healthcare. According to the ANA, DEI is “about making sure every individual has access to quality healthcare and tapping into all populations to develop a nursing workforce that is representative of the communities served. It’s about embracing the differences everybody brings to the table regardless of race, age, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ability, socio-economic status, or even geographic location.” Tipton Health will continue to follow the ANA’s position, remain up to date on regulations and requirements related to DEI in healthcare, and continue to support you, our valued nursing partners, in your journey to nursing excellence in a changing landscape.
