With nearly 50 years at Northwell Health — New York State’s largest private employer — Maureen rose from a registered nurse in the ICU to system Chief Nursing Officer, overseeing 28 hospitals and more than 1,000 ambulatory sites.

About the Speaker
Maureen White, RN, MBA, NEA-BC, FNAP, FAAN is a Senior Executive Advisor at Northwell Health. From 1999-2025, she served as the system Chief Nursing Officer for Northwell Health, the largest private employer in New York State overseeing 28 hospitals and over 1,000 ambulatory sites.
She also directed the Northwell Health Institute for Nursing for 20 years, focusing on nursing education, research, healthy work environments, and leadership development.
Maureen was named one of Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives in 2023 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice, and a recipient of the AONE Mentorship Award. She holds two undergraduate degrees from Molloy College and an MBA from Fordham University.
