His extensive skills and experience will enhance our ability to drive global nursing excellence through our nursing advisory capabilities. In his new role, Danny will advance practice for nursing teams in the U.S. and worldwide using evidence-based solutions developed by Tipton Health.
Among his numerous professional accomplishments, Danny led Antwerp University Hospital’s journey to becoming Europe’s first hospital to earn Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). He served on the ANCC Commission on Magnet since 2018, shaping international standards for nursing excellence and co-authoring the 2023 ANCC Magnet Recognition Program manual.

Before joining Tipton Health, Van heusden simultaneously served as Magnet Program Director, NDNQI Site Coordinator, and Patient Care Administration Project Manager at Antwerp University Hospital, where he began his nursing career as a clinical nurse in 1989.
Van heusden coordinated the University of Antwerp Summer University annual week-long program on nursing excellence concepts, evidence and interventions and has been teaching in the master nursing and midwifery at the university since 2010. Danny also holds several European certifications in leadership and healthcare practices.
