Tipton Health—the nation’s premier nursing consultancy—is expanding its commitment to nursing excellence with the hiring today of Tanya N. Carmichael, PhD, RN, RNC-OB; Meredith Hines, DNP, MSN, RNC-MNN, CNL; and Sharina Sigur, DNP, RN, NPD-BC, NEA-BC.
Tanya, Meredith, and Sharina will join Tipton Health’s rapidly growing nursing excellence consulting service, which is modernizing and advancing nursing practice for many of the nation’s leading hospitals, ambulatory care organizations and health systems.
“Tanya, Meredith and Sharina are key to helping us achieve our vision of pioneering a transformative era in nursing for all nurses in all settings,” said Dan Tipton, Tipton Health President and CEO. “They will help us to return joy and meaning to nursing by creating ideal nursing work environments, structures and processes while optimizing patient care and the strategic value of nursing.”

Dr. Carmichael most recently served as assistant professor of nursing at Widener University, where she specialized in nursing leadership, research and evidence-based practice, and maternal-newborn health. She also served as a nursing excellence consultant for Tipton Health since 2022. Previously, Tanya served in director positions in nursing and patient education at Penn Medicine. She earned her PhD in Nursing Education from Villanova University and her Master of Science in nursing in nursing education from Duke University, where she also earned her BSN.
Dr. Hines most recently served as assistant chief nursing officer at Integris Health Baptist Medical Center, in Oklahoma City, OK. Previously, she served as associative vice president of clinical excellence and the Magnet program and Nursing Informatics leader, among other leadership positions at OU Health. She earned her Doctor of Nursing practice from Chamberlain College of Nursing; her Master of Science in nursing from Saint Xavier University; and her BSN from University of Central Oklahoma.
Dr. Sigur most recently served as a senior Magnet program analyst for the American Nurses Association Enterprise. She previously served as director of nursing, Magnet program director, for Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where she developed her career as a clinical nurse and nurse leader. Sharina earned her Doctor of Nursing practice in executive leadership from Loyola University, New Orleans, where she also earned her Master of Science in nursing and healthcare system management. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Dillard University.
